Young US band SPACE VACATION has signed a worldwide deal with PURE STEEL RECORDS. The band from San Francisco plays fantatsic US Metal with NWoBHM-influences. The release of the new album "Heart Attack" is planned for the 1st quarter 2013. More news and details will follow in the next weeks. Scott Shapiro states: "Space Vacation is excited to announce that they have decided to sign a worldwide distribution and labeldeal with Pure Steel Records. This is a great opportunity for the band to gain exposure around the globe and bring our brand of old school heavy metal to the masses. It is great to have a chance to work with a label who actually gets what we are trying to do! Thanks so much to Andreas and everyone at Pure Steel Records for bringing us one step closer to our goal of making heads bang around the world."

SPACE VACATION "Heart Attack" - Release Date: January 25, 2013

The official release date of the second album, “Heart Attack”, by US-band SPAVCE VACATION will be the 25th of January 2013. The album is available as CD and as digital download.

SPACE VACATION are a young band from sunny California who really love melodic US-Metal with some NWoBHM mixed into it. In 2009 they released a self-titled debut album on their own private label, and at the beginning of this year, they self-released their second album “Heart Attack”, which will now be re-released worldwide by Pure Steel Records. Ex-VICIOUS RUMORS Kiyoshi Morgan has joined the band this year. All fans of US-Metal and NWoBHM will love the 10 songs on this album. Their strength are sophisticated guitar arrangements, high and clear vocals and very catchy songwriting, which reminds you of the 80s. Just listen to the exemplary “Bro Hammer” or the fantastic “Rocker”, which could have been mega-sellers in the 80s. Last but not least: A warm and authentic production will convince anyone who has been in doubt until now that SPACE VACATION are able to do great things!

We would also like to introduce Mark Shapiro who will be playing bass which allows Scott to move back to guitar so the band can get that classic twin guitar sound you hear on "Heart Attack" live at every show! The band has US 2 tours in the works with dates to be announced soon!

The release date of the new SPACE VACATION album "Cosmic Vanguard" on CD is December 5th, 2014. The preorder phase will start on November 21st, 2014 in our webshop.

The Californians SPACE VACATION are already well known to many followers of our back catalogue. Already two years ago the outstanding, second album "Heart Attack" has been released through Pure Steel. Now the quartet will unleash a successor called "Cosmic Vanguard".

With their well known style the Americans remain loyal to their old work. Melodic US Metal, provided with a decent dose of NWoBHM, will fascinate fans of those genres completely. Musical parallels to High Spirits (especially within the vocal lines) can’t be ignored by listening to "Cosmic Vanguard". The clear, organic production gives additional depth to all eleven tracks. Detailed, strong lead guitar parts, done by ex-Vicious Rumors-guitarist Kiyoshi Morgan, are a decent, musical crown of a sophisticated, soulful Metal album!

Timeless, classical Metal on the highest level: The Underground will appreciate it!
