I popped up to my mates little production space the other night to catch up and just see what he was up to and he had downloaded the trails of a couple of the new SPL plugins.
The main one I was interested in was the DrumXchanger so he was kind enough to let me play about on it for a while and I have to say I totally need this plugin in my life as with all the options available to transient design the original and trigger source I nearly did a bit of a wee in my pants thinking about the possibilities of this plug. Didn't manage to get the rim shot function working as I but once I got my head around the basic function I was totally sold on this (apart from the £280 price tag).
I already have slate samples, not the newest but all the ac/dc, deftones kits...is it ver2.5? Anyhow I'm totally gassing for this instead of trigger now.
Anyone had a go on both Trigger and DrumXchanger to compare? I'm interested to see peoples thoughts.
