SPL transducer?

has anyone of you already had the chance to check the SPL transducer? I'm really interested in that thing, but I'd like to have some non-journalist's opinions.

Ugh, seems pretty pricy to me. Nothing you couldn't do with a load box and impulses (for 30% of the price). Unless you want to use it live, of course.

Sorry, haven't tried the thing myself, so no constructive opinions from my side

I think it's too expensive for the sound it makes... would like to test it, but the "modern" didn't get me going.

Yeah I heard it's pretty cool. Little expensive, sure, but it might be interesting as 'another flavor'. I liked all examples except for the modern gain ones though

I spent some time listening to the tones and reading about it and it seems like a nifty little thing.

I do like the tones they got on the demos, except for the modern high gain. That might be due to the playing though. The blues/jazz stuff all sounds fabulous, probably because the guy is a jazz player who is trying to "play heavy" on this one (and can't really pull it off). Totally dislike the Marshall clip.

Overall, I am very undecided on this thing. And since I have the habit on never checking anything out, I will probably skip on this, too!
