SPL Transient Designer anyone?
im considering buying the plugin for my UAD cards.

it's a very useful tool. I haven't used the plug in though. I've also used the oxford transient modulator, which is similar. It's nice.

Try the 2-week demo you get with version 4.9 of the UAD software. I did that a few weeks ago but still haven't decided if I'll bite the bullet and buy it yet....

I found it to be a nice addition to their arsenal, and damn easy to get the desired effect. I already have the Waves TransX and it serves its purpose most of the time, but will probably get the SPL UAD plug if there's a deal going on it at some stage.

Well, we have 8 of them (hardware version) in the studio, and it absolutely kills !! You can shape a sound by adding/removing the attack (transients) or sustain. It's really incredible on room mics, kick, snare, toms, bass etc. Trust me you won't go back
It's a really simple box but it's very handy and you get amazing result very quick, I love it, I think it's one of the most useful tool I ever used for mixing.
