Spoken word in songs

I guess my problem with Transatlantic is that it sounds like the modern Swedish school of prog rock (Magic Pie, Flower Kings et al.), which is easily my least favorite type of prog, ever. But opinions, opinions, I guess.

I've gotten through pretty much all the recommendations but am saving Ulver for last because I want to try to seriously tackle their discography. The Uli Roth track was nice, and probably closest to what I was imagining. Thanks again guys, you are pretty cool.
