Pretty much the worst thing ever. Even back when i was into whiny melodic death doom like old novembers doom and saturnus, it bugged me a bit. It almost always sounds cheesy and it really showcases how 95% of metal bands write atrocious lyrics.

Discuss.

Holy shit dude, your new avatar is all in color and stuff, and its making me confused to shit. Besides that, what do you mean by spoken word? I'm not familiar with the expression/phrase unless it's the exact definition I think it is: Recognizable soundwave patterns that protrude out of my mouth.

Here here!

There is absolutely no instance I like spoken word passages in metal or folk songs, "folk music is just as bad with this if not worse", and it absolutely kills most songs. Actually, I hate it in every genre of music.

Except electro/trance/techno shit.

Bunch of that on "The Shattered Fortress" from the new DT album, you know, your favorite band.

I don't know, that shit is hilarious to me, I rewind it numerous times and chuckle hardily.

thought I haven't really listen to a rhapsody album since like 1999.

But that's what I used to do.
