Although, they did have Samantha says something kind of odd to jack at the end...

I sure hope that isn't a hint towards Stargate Universe main arena being on the moon... That'd be fucking stupid. I know the original plan was to have the main arena take place in a ship travelling the universe or some shit like that, which wasn't too original on its own, but the moon? Fuck that.

I still say Daniel and the Col. were better portrayed in the original Stargate movie. I love that thing. Haven't watched SG1 since the first season honestly

Im likely to watch it again today, in fact. Much better than Ark of Truth and the less than stellar 10th season. Goauld are so much better villains that the Ori.

Yep, it was definitely better than Ark of Truth. I agree about the G'ould/Ori. I think the menacing element of the Ori was misplaces or under emphasised. They're still good, whether they were wholesale ripped off from the Chronicles of Riddick movies or not, though.
