Stay Young

I think this thing about age is just a state of mind, not how long you've lived or something like that. I just want to be 18 (I'm 16 now) so that I can get my drivers-license and get into conserts were you have to be 18 to enter.

Heh, I was thinking about the same thing for my next birthday...

I used to think it was teenagehood too but I'm already 21 and it's still the same, sorry man.

I am 18 and still a bit depressive at times. It was worse when I was younger, so maybe you will feel a bit better when you are older.

I don't look 18 though, some people say I look about 24 or 25. I don't think so... maybe 21 at the most.

At 28 I hope I'm not the oldest!

All I can say is look forward to your 20's! When you finally get out of school, bills and not cutting class may suck, but financial independence allows you to really do the things you want without answering to others. And the biggest thing I was looking forward to when graduating college was that when I got home from work - that was it! No HW no studying - it's great!:D

Having turned 18 two days ago, I actually physically feel older.....thats the first time that has ever happened to me..... i thank you for the warning Nick, but it seems like it is just too late for me:cry: .....all the rest of you young'uns out there... don't worry....im working on the cure ;)

well I had great memories of my 16!!!
IMHO there's not particuarly a bad age though. It's the person who's on the mood at a particular age. To me my 14-17 was the greatest time of my life (and that considering I had no internet connection) but I had all my needs covered, and I hadn't to study much and hadn't to work. Now instead, I have to work, i have to study aaaaaaaand why??? to go on working till 65, no promising future. But well still I think there are two years for me to go to start having REAL FUN!!!!

I've always wondered why people look at me in a strange way when i say that the chupiest things i life start when you've finished school and got a (first) degree or a job....generally when you are able to have your own money,to live on your own and be really independent...I am not really afraid of taking responsibility..on the contrary it seems like a big challenge to me. Maybe i say so cause my teen-years were rather gloomy, but anyway i've gained a great deal of interesting experiences...I'm 21 and i find it a very chupi age....not really independent yet,but at least now i like my life and even look forward to the following two years where the chupiest time of my life will come :)

as for childhood,it is definitely a very important period in an individual's life, but i can't agree with people who say it's the best years simply because one can't really decide for oneself back then...
All in all every age has its pleasures....

hehehehe tell that to my 91_year_old granny, the same who constantly says she wants to die!! :D

as for me, well back when 14 I had already all the independency I needed, now I have economical independency and I feel it nice, but well you have to work to get that, and I haven't reached a conclussion if that really worths it!
And now I just can't play with my marvels with anybody cause that
would be a childish thing to do!
at least there's some people who still likes my toys

fathervic (piiiiiiiiiiuuuuuuuuuuuu tatatatata! die Kif! swooooosh!!!arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!)

i was actually talking about economical independence-i still live with my parents and have no salary......the other kind i somehow have, even though i still have to argue about some things with my parents from time to time - even then i understand their points/fears anyway-... but anyway i'm having a chupi time....especially cause i somehow feel i live alone, everybody is just too busy to be here much,or too much at the countryhouse or has forgotten where the actual home is ;) :D

FV@ if you see it apart from your granny, who maybe is depressed and i can udnerstand it....i still insist that life has pleasures even for people who are old, have stopped working etc ...it is the way life is...Personally speaking i do believe i will still have interesting things to do even at my 90s (if i live to be that old)....
i don't know maybe thsi positive idea i have about it is due to my beliefs on what is happiness, what is important for an individual blah blah ok,i think most of the people who read/study the kind of books i read tend to have such ideas

as for working...if you have a chupi job,it does offer you a kind of pleasure/interest/excitement ....

hehehehe hell yeah! I can't wait to be 65 and get retired :hotjump:
I know each age has it's amusing things, but there's some responsabilities one wouldn't like having to face...specially on the economical side, since being independent makes you being dependent on that job who gives you the first one!
that's why even a chupi job most of times turns out to be crap for the reason of being something you're somehow obliged to do, and because responsability is there to nag you each morning until you come out of bed...
now I know some people work 'cause they just like it, but it's not definitely my case!!!!

ok......sorry to interupt the stream of this thread, but being from NY and sorta new to the forum I must ask the question...

WHAT THE FUCK DOES 'CHUPI' MEAN?

I tried infering the meaning from context, but seeing as it can be used to describe most anything, its startin to get on my nerves.... sorry if i've offended you for making fun of a favorite word...i just don't understand it yet

Yeah I was wondering the smae thing, maybe the rest of them are a bunch of fucking creeps who have some underground cult named Chupi and their little communication teqniques consist of them saying Chupi in every fucking sentence...........I want in.

chupi means more or less 'cool', 'nice', 'very interesting and happy'. it's a spanish childish word that our robot |ngenius spoke first on this board a long time ago. it eventually seeped under everyone's skin, and now some fifty ppl all over the globe are using 'chupi' in everyday conversation, to the bewilderment of less lucky human beings. :)
