Steven Slate Drums 4 custom question

No, SSD 4 doesn't require iLock, though many of Slate's plugs do (which is why I only have SSD 4 ).

I've considered getting one because there are several iLock plugs I'd like to try, but I've heard several horror stories of iLock's breaking and locking people out of using their plugs for up to a couple of weeks before getting things straightened out. Granted, these are the exceptions, not the rule, but still.

As it is now, my machine is on the same OS install as when I first got it a couple years back and is still rock solid. Aside from installing a few plugs since then, I haven't had to do anything to it. But I have ghost images of my machine and can simply ghost the drives back to their present state in minutes in the event of a catastrophic failure, so I'm not sure I want to give up that reliability (and ease of restoration) just to try a few plugs that require iLock.
