Still day beneath the sun

I had a really hard time with it, too. Once you get the capo on there, you'll learn it quick, fun song to play. Patterns in the Ivy II is easier to play though...

i've got my opeth tabs on http://opeth.splinder.com

as far as i know:
still day... has a capo on 3rd fret
patterns II has a capo on 1st fret
windowpane & hope leaves have a capo on 2nd fret
demon & blackwater park are in dropped D tuning
all the rest is in normal tuning

i still don't understand the purpose of a capo.

you know, when some people sing a song, a capo is the only way to get the guitar in the right tune for the singer.

for example, 'trains' by PT is recorded with a capo on the 5th fret, probably we wouldn't have the same effect without it. and i don't think you can stretch guitar strings too much without breaking them.
in the last tour, SW plays the same song with a capo on the 2nd fret, probably it's easier for him to sing in that tune.

the word is "key", not "tune"
