 I'm a fairly new Opeth fan of only a handful of months so excuse my ignorance. I have read this album to be released 30/4 but to no success have I found it. Then, on the peaceville.com site it is scheduled for 20/5. Can any of you veteran fans help me out?:muahaha:

Yeah, I used to think Peaceville was the best label, that had all the bands I really loved. Now they are just money-hungry assholes screwing over the fans.

Wankers.

I disagree. Peaceville were and are one of the premier labels for extreme music. How can you say they're money hungry?

I think the 'Still Life' release is the double vinyl. It's not the c.d again. The slipcase was cool and I bought it because I didn't already own the album.

I don't know how you can call them 'wankers' and 'fan screwer overs'.

It seems that all, except for Blackwater Park (yet not for long) have been re-released... It's not as if the Opeth's were all sold out or out of print were they?

NO NO NO, well yes, but its being released on vinyl on the 5th of May i believe, the cd isnt gonna be re-released again ever i suspect other than to be in some sort of opeth box set which i doubt will ever happen.

if you buy an album, then its re-released with extra stuff some people, loving the music so much want to hear more, and so pay for the same album, i suppose thats what he means, re-releases when you dont have the album are good though.

The idea that labels are screwing over the fans by re-releasing an album is utter bollocks. If there is an opportunity to introduce a new track that didn't make the original cut, why not put it on a re-release?? Its all music. If you don't want it...no one is putting a gun to your head.

Remember, its the artists job too make good music. Its the labels job too make money.
