Did they break up
Someone i know thinks that htey did because their bets of CD says they enjoyED doing this stuff, and their site isn't up anymore
are they done or what?

The last thing I heard is the fact that they wanted to have a break for about two years...I have not heard or read anything about Stratovarius breaking up and I doubt that this is true. They just want to spend some time on other things than their Band...

Well, I don't know the reason, but band already quit the break. At the moment they're writing new material. The album will be released late 2002/ early 2003, if I'm right..

Yup,Timo Tolkki recently released his solo album...why should they quit,they just write the same shit all over again every year and they're getting payed for that.

That's the most accurate description of Stratovarius I've ever heard. They are sooo boring. Their first 2 albums are different from the rest, apart from that they might as well be one CD.

That's the reason why I just own their best of CD and I like their live-shows, although their music is some kind of monotone ("Hey, I've got an idea; what about double bass in this song?"), I like their live shows, it's a cool athmosphere somehow.

Same can be said of Iced Earth (whom I enjoy listening to, but recycle riffs as much as I recycle my beer bottles - which is a lot btw).
