Strugling with getting this mix right

sounds bassy to me, but how do you guys typically balance the bass with guitars to preserve tone and beef

i typically start by turning all the faders down and work with the bass first and throw a compressor on it so it peaks at -18dbs(in logic) then balance that with the kick then bring the guitars up so it blends smoothly with everything else and nothings over powering, after all thats when I typically work with everything else getting the levels right.

yes ive been doing that way as well, only thing i really have issues with is blending the bass and guitars together. i can hear in most professional mixes the bass guitar is almost hidden in the guitars but without the bass the guitars would sound super thin, so ive stopped trying to make my guitars the beefiest thing in the mix and try to have the bass guitar compliment the guitars but im having a difficult time figuring out what frequencies should be in the bass vs guitars.

The drums are kinda lost, try parallel compressing your drum bus to start, and maybe try some parallel compression on each drum.
