Studio in a Shipping Container

I see them go for a couple hundred bucks more often than not...the bear can be getting it where you want it. Cool, if not claustrophobic, little studio!

We got a bunch of them over at my work for storage use. Just hope no one with a container-moving truck comes along and decides to take your entire studio!!

Advertise as a mobile studio and include charges for freight in your hourly rate!

Man they stole my idea, I wanted to do that a year or two ago, but good luck getting drums in there. I think it will be best to buy two and connect them side by side.

Probably gets hot as hell in the summer though.

Oh yeah I'm sure I'm not the first person to come up with such a plan. I still think its a great idea really, but getting the containers to where you wanted them could be tricky. And I see that they got a freezer container so that it has fans which will keep it cool so I guess that solves the heat problem.

Wow, I'm actually considering doing this in the future for my house, then another one for a studio, maybe another one for a tracking room, one for living quarters, anything, They're only 1500-3000$ each! My only concern is hurricanes, I wonder how they hold up against them?

Stack two and you have over 4m tall room :Spin:

Each container is about 8x8x20 ft ~= 245x245x610 cm

If you stack them 2x3x2, that is pretty decent sized room (7.3mx12.2m and 4.9m tall)

I remember playing Pound SF and noticing that the building was made of these. Sonic qualities were as you might expect.
