Hi guys,
I know theres threads about this already, but I still haven't found my idealistic supdrop :)

Just wondering if someone could provide me one or two that sound as fat and smooth like Job's/Perish stuff!

Thanks in advance :kickass:

Alright, I'm going to ask the most stupid question that can be asked in a thread about subdrops:

"What exactly are subdrops or how do you use 'em?". Haha!

No, seriously ... what do you do with that samples? Do you just drumagog them onto the bass-drum-track or do you use them to accentuate certain kick-hits?

just drop it in before the bit where it all goes slow and that.
I think its a called a 'beat down' or '2 step'
lol

Yeah you just throw them in to accentuate certain parts, usually right at the beginning of a big chugga chug breakdown, or at the beginning of every bar if you're going to get really nuts, haha...

ExDown, you should be able to find something in that file that Emdprodukt linked to, there is a reason that a subdrop is called an 808... I think the one I normally use is BD2510 or something similar.

Ok, thanks guys! :hypno:
Hopefully I'll figure out how to actually make a 808 sample sound good... cuz I've tried it without success.

funny... I just make a new audio track and put the one I like on the right place. booooooooooooooooooooooom. without ANY EQ. do you use a subwoofer for mixing?

No, I have Krk VXT6 for mixing only.. bass enough for me :)
I tried out the stuff you posted, and the BD folder was awesome! Thanks my sweet produkt!!

Yea i have 3 bass drop files i picked up on this forum a long time ago but none of them ever sound like the ones i love in my favorite bands albums. Shoot i even hear local bands with them that sound great on there recordings. I need to find there engineer and ask them for it i guess. :heh:

my favorite sub-drop(i like to call them bass pushes) is at 2:14 in Reciprical by origin, right before those fast arp twitches.

would you guys consider the one in the beggining of "the fury" by decap a sub drop?
