Hello, hey ive had this Suffocation- Pierced from within for like 4 years but never reallly gave it a chance.

Im currently listening and i must say its great.

Fast/Technical/Pretty brutal

alot like Death in parts i think.

you can actually hear the bass doing great stuff.

What do others feel about this band/album?

Suffocation is in my humble opinion one of the, if not THE best death metal band ever...everything they did was great. And i hear they're possibly regrouping. A friend of mine said their guitarist came in the record store he works at and purchased "Effigy.." because he needed to relearn all the songs..oddly enough I figured the guitarist in the album would already have a copy of it..but whatever..I hope it's true.

I agree wiyh you, this album its great. "Despite the Sun" its great too. I love "Efigy of the Forgotten", but I don't like the second album (i can't remember the name now...)

I've been meaning to get Pierced From Within for a long time, but I've never gotten around to it. After I get some black metal, I'll probably get it.

Pierced From Within is a great album! Don't have anything else of theirs though.

I love suffocation. pierced from within and despise the sun are amazing cds. i dont know how i feel about the band reforming. esp without cerrito. what is the point? and culross' drumming on despise was unhuman.

I bought a while ago Pierced from Within and I was blown away. It's damn good. Have to get Despise the Sun too.

I have them all... they're all great.

Don't have their demo, but they are DEFINITELY one of the best DM bands ever.

I don't see how it's going to work without Doug Cerrito, but I'll be glad to be able to hear the songs live again.

AAAHH the joy of good quality DM. Suffocation is amazing, specialy the last "Despise the Sun". It´s impossible to hear it without banging your head...
