Not sure if I like them yet though. I don't realy like pop punk. But the guys themselves seem realy badass. Well there is one song on the album that they did thats an ode to metal that ones cool

I´ve never heard of that band. Is it something like Lit? That´d be OK for me. This guy sounds pretty cool, not only does he kiss Anthrax´ ass but the rest of his answers are ok.

No matter how many times Kerry King plays a solo for them or is included in a video. No matter how many times they say Anthrax rule. The band itself is a fucken joke and that´s that.

Well fellow traxters , I've got the album , and because i'm an expert in "punkrock" I can tell you that they don't suck!!!!!!!!!
They are just 4 young guys from Canada who happen to have a good taste in music and write pretty good songs, but only if you like this kind of punkrock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They name Anthrax and Iron mAiden as their favourites in an RockSound intervieuw and 2 of them are big fans of Anthrax and they love to play with Anthrax live!!!!

thier first album is great. the second one is more poppy. But they look like they're having fun doing what they're doing. so they're alright by me.

Yeah, get off your high horses. They're not great, but I'll take them over 99% of the other shit being put out there these days.
When I first got into Anthrax after Among the Living, I thought their music was okay but nothing special, but I admired them for the fact that they had fun doing it, not like a lot of other metal bands that take themselves way to seriously...oh, I'm dark, oh, I'm depressed...give me a break. By the time John arrived, they had evolved (or matured?) into the best band out there.
I'm not saying that Sum 41 will someday be a punk giant that everyone pays tribute to, but I give them credit for what they are now...a band putting out decent tunes and having fun doing it...

Fan, you forgot to mention that they are part of that 99% of shit that is out there, ha ha, wait now, I am an asshole and do asshole things so don't get offended, and yes, metalheads are elitists, I think everything else is crap except real music, and these guys are not real, not by a long shot, anyways, I have noticed that a lot of the people that post here aren't metalheads, that's allright because I have nothing against you people and the majority of my friendslisten to other music, allright I lied, most of my friends listen to metal, anyways. I consider myself a metal music fan. I like all music but metal is my fav. Why is it some fans in the metal world want to limit their music to just metal. Tehn thay want to discredit you when you like other things. Just seems odd to me to be so narrow minded. I'll bet most metal musicians like music that is non metal. But I digress...back to the subject.
I saw Sum 41 open for the bosstones a few years ago and they kicked ass. They put on a FUN show. I think they rule. A Sum 41/ Anthrax tour would rule.

i havent heard any of there music yet but i will give them a listen now for sure,good to see them giving praise to anthrax in a day where it seems to me that its almost a trend to hate anthrax these days.
over the next few year i can see alot of bands paying homage to anthrax just becuase i think anthrax are way ahead of there time...

As music fans, they're pretty cool. But at making good music, they're not. AND YES, I do like more music than just metal. Like Lord K said, Kerry King giving them a solo can't even make them good.

Don't get me wrong, I'll take metal before I take anything else, but punk, even pop-punk, at least has similar roots....people that write and play their own music using guitars, no lip-syncing or over-production to gloss over the fact that they're not really as good as they sound, etc.
So Sum41 is better than 99% of the crap being spewed out there these days...boy bands, girl bands, boy-girl bands, anyone that's ever tried out for "Popstars", Britney and all her clones, Jello, um I mean JLo, basically any artist that is more about looking pretty and marketing than about the actual music.
