Another awesome AA show!
But their sound was very bad the first 2 songs. Perhaps they were a little bit tired after the big show in cologne.

The whole festival was great!
Only killer bands and a lot of beer. Only the rain at the second and third day was shit.

My Highlights: Impious, Maroon, Korpiklaani. Amon Amarth, Dark Tranquillity, Enthroned, Endstille, Orphaned Land, Wintersun.

yeah, that gig was brilliant, maybe the best AA gig i've ever seen - great setlist, nice sound (not at the beginning, but it got better) and finally some real interaction with the fans! thank you very much mighty AA!

i had to work on the festival, but my boss let me have a break on the AA gig :tickled:. i agree - the sound was somehow strange on the first songs. i'm a sound noob, but for me drums and vocals were kind of overwhelming in the beginning.

nevertheless, it was an AWESOME show with a nice setlist. i'm still laughing my ass off, when i think of the crowd singing german drinking songs :hotjump:. i wish they would have played some more songs, but the festival management was extremly strict on the schedule. they've cut off Therion, too when they wanted to play one song extra :err: i missed the last with pagan blood as it is my favorite. maybe next time.

the coolest thing: on our way back to the tent(people working on summerbreeze are on a special camping site) we saw johan standing in front of the tourbus having a drink. we had a nice conversation about the new AA DVD and stuff and drank a beer. he also signed the booklets of my AA cds.

although it's been a hard day selling beer on that festival, it's been all worse it :headbang:

greetings
