Keyser's Movie Beat... yet again...

So I went to Hollywood to catch the mighty Dreams of Damnation opening for Death Angel tonight... and I decided to go catch a flick at my fave theater... The Arclight... tonight's feature? Super Size Me A documentary (I must be the only metal-head who goes to a documentary before a thrash show)...
The documentary follows the filmmaker on his quest to eat nothing but McDonald's for breakfast, lunch and dinner, for one whole month. He was inspired to do this by the lawsuits filed against McD's by some obese people blaming the golden arches for their "injuries." Quite an interesting lil' film.

I read a review where they said this guy might have been exagerating somewhat, in that by the third day he's already having serious problems, was that true?

He was barfing by the second day... by the 20th day the doctors were telling him to get off the experiment...
his cholesterol jumped something like 60 points and he gained 25 lbs in 30 days...
He was taking in something like 5000 calories per day... not walking more than 5000 steps per day and had to supersize only if they offered it...
His girlfriend was talking at one point about how their sex life suffered. He was having a hard time keeping up an erection or even getting there. He was having depression issues, heart palpitations, among other things...
The gastric bypass surgery and the guy who eats 2 to 3 big macs per day (and has a cholesterol level of 140) are worth the price of admission alone...

Nah McDonalds doesn't do it to you, you do it to yourself! If you are stupid (no I'm not referring to you specifically, I'm talkin about the idiots who file the frivolous lawsuits) enough to not have the common sense to distinguish between eating healthy, etc, then you deserve to be big and fat. I used to be really heavy but have lost a ton of weight. Never ate much at Mcdonalds but now I eat healthier and occasionally have cheat meals here and there.

I agree completely. People always need to blame everything that is wrong with themselves on something or somebody else. tsk tsk tsk. ANYway...YES, Mike, you do look a lot healthier and happier!!! Congrats on the successful and careful weight loss. Keep up the good work! :worship:

Its kind of the same way with all the lawsuits aimed at the tabaco companies. How can you not know its bad for you? Or the family that tried to sue Smith & Wesson because one of thier family members used a gun made by them to kill himself! The strange thing is you hardly ever (or never as far as I can recall) hear of anyone suing Budwieser or Jack Daniels. How many people die each year or basicaly ruin thier lives because of alchohol abuse? Just something to think about...

It might not exactly count as a thrash show, but in late January I saw The Fog of War and an Iron Maiden/Arch Enemy concert on the same day.
