Norwegian black/thrash metallers Susperia have officially confirmed their split with Nuclear Blast Records. Ultimatemetal.com reported about the split a while back in this new story.

According to blabbermouth.net this is what vocalist Athera wrote in a recent e-mail: "Let's get this straight, Nuclear Blast has not dropped SUSPERIA. We have decided to leave the company and delete the contract due to lack of co-operation and fulfillment of our professional needs. And it's definitely not bad news. It was the best that could happen to us, that they agreed to let us go. We have much bigger plans ahead of us this coming year."

The band is currently looking for a new label before commencing the recording sessions for their upcoming album, and they are talking to Bjørn Boge about producing the new material. Bjørn Boge was Susperia’s “vocal coach/producer” during the recording sessions for “Vindication”, which was released in 2002.

There are still no news about the split on Susperia’s official website, nor on the Nuclear Blast website.
