***************************************

DIVISION BY ZERO is a band created by artists who treat music as a constant part of their lives. The band’s foundation was a process rich in twists and turns. Before starting the band its members met each other in different, various projects: Leszek Trela and Michał Wieczorek formed Abnormal Fiction. After they split up, Leszek teamed up with Patryk Kumór and they started a band called Hallow. Michał joined the band called Bronx in which Mariusz Prętkiewicz played drums already. Finally, In march 2003, all four of the guys founded the brand new band called DIVISION BY ZERO.

Very very cool news!! I've been spinning the Division By Zero track off the sampler quite a bit recently. Definitely one of top three tracks in my mind on that sampler, along with Krucible and Suspyre!!!

I was hoping you could arrange something with Shane to get one or both of them to play the Showcase here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both are good bands.

I find it cool how ProgPower Europe is looking to the USA to bring in an opening stature band.

Well that would be my fault, I offered them a bunch of promo's from our bands, and Rene, knew that batch would be well groomed so he listened, probably before he would have gone through the piles of other bands that submitted that he himself said he expected to be 90% crap o la!

Their considering another Nightmare band as well, hoping it comes through, can't say who at the moment though!

Hi,

On behalf of the organisation, we are always looking for some new talents and do not book bands that already have a name in the scene. Therefore we have to compete with so many other gigs and festivals in our country, we try to keep ProgPower Europe something different. So if we are able to book bands from the USA that are relatively unknow in Europe, but who offer some quality, than we are very much interested in these bands as you can understand. We now are also talking to bands from Canada and Australia, that is the onnly way for us to keep ProgPower Europe different from the huge overkill of concerts we have. In our country you can go to a concert in the prog/power scene every day, and than you can choose between 2 or 3 gigs. And you only have to drive less than an hour! But the problem is that not that many people show up, we can give you so many examples of bands that hardly attract 100 people, which you will hardly believe. We are not sure how long it will go on like this, but we know that many venues and organisations loose a lot of money these days. Time will tell how long this continues.

Anyway, we are very confident with SUSPYRE and DIVISION BY ZERO, 2 very talented bands that hopefully will get a lot of more attention because of their choice for ProgPower Europe 2008. And we will come with some more interesting bands, we can tell you that!

So hope to see you in The Netherlands next year, it might even be interesting for people from the USA to come over.

Greetings,
Rene Janssen
