Greetings everyone, my name is Merkotan, I am Ukraine-based independent musician and founder of gothic-metal project Svargarataya. The special feature of this project is that despite it addresses classical characters of gothic culture, like vampires, werewolfs and witches, it's music and poetry is heavily rooted into the darker side of Eastern culture, which by the way is really ample, but mainly not known to the Western culture.
The project profits from intensive use of ethnic woodwinds and musical heritage of the East, such as ritual music instruments, Tibetan throat singing Gyuke, lyrics in Sanskrit and Tibetan, etc.
