Svarun is a nine-piece metal band from Novi Sad, Serbia, founded in October, 2008., in Novi Sad by Nikola Pacek-Vetnic (Vocals, Music, Lyrics, Orchestration, Production) who is soon joined by Dragana Paunovic (Alto vocals), Mirko Miljatovic (Tenor vocals), Jelena Aleksic (Soprano vocals), and the russian members from Moscow - Innocent (Bass) Anakharsis (Drums) and Eugene (Guitars).

Svarun was founded because of the need for the creation of a quality metal band capable of performing the music similar in style to what we usually listen to, but still close to us and the audience from these parts, dealing with the subjects concerning the common history of all Slavic nations, with a strong stress on the brotherly message and the one of peace that are always embroidered into our lyrics. Musicaly, Svarun is based on the postulates of symphonic metal genre, striving towards inovation, but at the same time trying to maintain the delicate balance that saves us from going into extremes. In short, our goal is the creation of listenable music, while still making it as inovative as possible.
