Sweet PC Keyboards

Nice and clean :Smokin:

Gamer hardware is funny. They all have a 90´s badass design and have names of weapons of mass destruction. This month I bought a mouse called "Razer DeathAdder", but there was one in the store called "Cooler Master Storm Inferno Laser 4000" (seriously!).

Anyway, I always liked this Dell keyboard:

It´s a no-nonsense keyboard. It´s big where it has to be big and small where it has to be small. Classical buttons layout (I hate when they mix the F buttons), no wasted space on the borders, big spacebar...

Totally agree. Love that keyboard too! Especialy that spacious space bar! :)

Using Logitech G15 v2 right now, pretty happy with it, wouldn't change it. Plus, gives me some programmable keys easy to reach, after some tweaking, speeding up my editing process a bit.

+1

"Out of curiosity, what do you guys use the macro keys for? "

Stole the idea from Kenny Gioia quickkeys tutorials. In protools I have a key programed to tab to transient, then go up to the next track, paste a midi note, then return to the track below. It gets me 90% of the way there in a minute for replacing/augmenting drums. It used to take forever.

Been using this for over a year now on recommendations from people on this board:

Absolutely awesome keyboard. One of the best I've ever used. If it had a macro key pad, it'd be perfect.

What model is that exactly? Looks really nice and sleek without being gaudy like a lot of the gaming keyboards.

Oh crap, can't believe I forgot to write the name.

Logitech Illuminated Keyboard

Maybe the unimpressive name keeps the gaming scene at bay? Bet sales would triple if they called it Tron Scythe Super Anal 3000 X21.

+1 to this keyboard!

Ermz initially turned us on to it and it's by far the most comfortable, solid, and best 'feeling' board out of all the others we've tried.

Plus the illumination is sick =D

I use the same one. Well, two, for each PC.

Great keyboard. It may seem odd to say about a keyboard, but I like it because the action on the keys is slick as fuck. The lightup thing doesnt hurt either.

That's sick. Glad you and Phil are digging it.

@Zozobra: Yeah, the keys just feel excellent. It's like the perfect hybridization of laptop and desktop feel.

The size of the F-keys gave me issues for a few weeks, but I quickly got over it. Now every keyboard I use when freelancing at studios gives me the absolute shits.
