In this moment I'm hearing the death's album symbolic, I have it from 6 or 7 years and ther's a lot of time that i don't hear it.
Everyone knows what amps Chuck and Bobby uses for recording the guitar parts?

Chuck used Marshall Valvestates. I'm not positive if that's what he used on Symbolic but it sounds like it to me. It's either the 8100 or the VS100.
I bought a VS100 back in the day to try and capture that sound, and it does it quite well.

Yep valvestates. But the leads sound good on that album, wonder what they did with them. On TSOP the leads sound pretty bad to me, the typical harsh valvestate fizzz.

They used some other marshall jcm 800 or 900 with ts9 infront.

iirc meshuggah used the 8200.

as for chuck, 8100 all the way

I think the tone on the records is obviously Valvestate. It's a pretty distinct sound if you ask me. Especially on TSOP.

Its some kind of modded valvestate too i think.
Andy LaRoque's got one too from his days in Death and that one's modded as well

I think guitar sounds of symbolic are very good, not to fizz sounding to my hears.
