The band "Fallen Angels" (www.fallofangels.com) have recently recorded there new demo "Black Lotus" in Studiomega (The crown, Eternal Lies, Arise, Beseech) and it would be cool if you could give some feedback considering those clips:

The vocals are pretty good. Reminds me a lot of "Agnostic Front". But the guitar playing could be lots better. Its not really the style of metal I'd consider listening to regularly, but I think the band has potential. The arangements are nice, though not especially heavy, but I think that was probably what they were going for. The band could probably be a success with a better guitarist. Don't get me wrong, the guitarist would probably be considered adequate for typical death metal, but for that fancy symphonic shit they seem to be attempting, it leaves a lot to be desired. No offense. I think the mosh part following the solo at the end of "Soulstone Splinter" is pretty good, but the solo that leads up to it is extremely weak and cheesy sounding. I'm not big into keyboards, but the keyboard parts work nicely with the songs, and the bass and drums are more than adequate. The production quality is a little poor as well.

Thx for your comments!! :)

We all know that the songs isn´t 100 % played all the time. Not only in guitars... Expect the keyboard guy! He was truly amazing and hit every song in one shot. But we did our best yo know. None of us have been in a studio before, so it was pretty nervous, and we had very lack of time... But I guess we could live with that! :)

Our second guitarist is only 14 years old then. But he´s learning very fast... wish us luck for the next demo!!

The guitar solo in Soulstone Splinter is in the wrong key. That solo would have been fine if it were played in the correct part of the fretboard.

From what I can tell, it's pretty good stuff. Just fix minor technical errors like that and you'll have some great stuff on your hands.

About that solo... What do you mean by wrong key? From the top of my head (I don't have any guitar around), it seems like a plain old E natural minor/G major scale over something like a Gmajor/F#dim/Em/Dmajor progression. And in my opinion, it's not even a solo, just a little pattern repeated over the chord changes.
