THIS WEEK ON THE CLASSIC METAL SHOW: Neeley and Chris are not the biggest fans or supporters of the Progressive Metal Scene, but they realize that some of you really, really love that music. Therefore, it will be a very "Progressive" edition of THE CLASSIC METAL SHOW this week. Up first, the band that a lot of people consider to be the latest and greatest upstart prog-band in the world, Symphony X. Even though they've been around for more than a decade, people are still discovering them right now. They are back with their most "metal" oriented album called PARADISE LOST. True to form, guitarist Michael Romeo soars on this one, while vocalist Russell Allen angrily brings the message home. We'll do a New Music Listening Party for PARADISE LOST, and vocalist Russell Allen will check in with the show once again to discuss the new album, his remarkable solo album, and to Symphony X always being compared to Dream Theater.

Speaking of Dream Theater, Chris's FAVORITE band of all time will make a return visit to THE CLASSIC METAL SHOW with their brand new album, SYSTEMATIC CHAOS. While few bands can find a way to take 80 minutes of music and turn that into a mere 8 songs, Dream Theater have mastered this art once again on SYSTEMATIC CHAOS. Hard, heavy and one of the more solid efforts the band has ever done, The Classic Metal Show is more than happy to do a New Music Listening Party for the latest from Dream Theater.
