Synphony X Paradise Lost kicks the shit out of Dream Theater's Systematic Cahos!

I guess its all mater of opinion but Symphony X can have long songs and have them stay intersting unlikes Dream Theater who go so out there at times even there good stuff just gets boring fast.

Now I should think this type of discussion is along the lines of the Loomis/Petrucci comparison. They're two bands I won't stick in the same genre or mood of music.

So it boils down to opinion. I think it'd be a more intelligent thread if Paradise Lost and SC were compared to other SX and DT albums, respectively.

Now dang it, I'm gonna go eat some waffles.

I think SymX is boring, to be honest. DT can be boring but not nearly as much as SymX.

Russell Allen was born to sing rock and roll, as shown on his Atomic Soul album. That album alone is leaps and bounds better than anything Romeo can pump out.

Once again showing opinion differences and how trivial it is, I honestly haven't sat through one DT album ever in my life, and find them pretty god damned boring. SX on the other hand is one of my favorite bands. I happen to think that if Michael Romeo wasn't in a metal band, he'd probably be a classical/symphonic composer.
