Synth metal project (PYB$) new song in the making...

sounds good, i really dig the snare!
the intro synth sound too nintendoish, try to pitch it one octave down!
the slow piano part is very nice, really good stuff!!!

cheers

Thanks broooski, I originally had it an octave lower but it shines through far more up an oct:)

did you try another synth?
something that sounds softer. maybe like this one:

EDIT:
there's a free VST, MinimogueLUXUS, it has one preset,
it's calles "one night in trondheim" if i remember correctly.
this one would fit PERFECTLY IMHO! :D

What's your guitar chain like?
They sound great!
I agree the intro synth is a little weird, I'd try a different patch.

Hey I'm really into your PYB stuff. This is cool- I like the boominess. I think guitars are a bit grainy IMO. Perhaps could use a bit of low passing. Cool synths as usual.

EDIT: PS - What are you using for bass? Live or VSTi?

EDIT 2: PPS - Just remembered; when are you going to release that albumette?

Guitar tone is amazing!
I'd keep that octave and synth sound, but maybe make it less present with delays/reverbs or something. It stands out a bit too much in the beginning.

God, I'd kill to see your song writing process.

I agree with others, the synth stands out quite a bit much in the beginning and again at 1:44, but I think if you're going to put vox over it, it won't be so bad.

Any info on guitar chain?

Ha ok wel i think its clear that i need to change the synth voice at the start :)

As for guitar chain, Crappy ibanez SA series, into M audio projectmix into guitar rig 3, some patch i made.

Im tryin to find someone who will distribute the albumete on itunes so if anyone knows of any, pleassse let me know:)

Are you gonna add vocals? It's beggin for it. As for online distro, try tunecore, I've heard good things about them. Did you master this yourself? If so, what did you use? It sounds really good.

I relistened in my car a few times and couldn't find anything that I'd change except that synth to be honest, this is a great track man.

I've heard good things about http://members.cdbaby.com/ - they advertise $35 per album. I don't know enough about that to go into detail unfortunately.

checked both tunecore and cdbaby. cdbaby takes %'s of your sale, i would go tunecore, you get 100% of sales

Guitars are way too quiet, I'd have to agree with Nuno Filipe that they sound thin and scooped.

Bass also sounds to me like it could do with coming up a bit, and being a bit grittier.

Drums don't have a lot of power to them. They cut through nicely, but to me atleast they need a bit more low end...

Song sounds sweet though bro!
