Tablets anyone?

Would love a 5 inch tablet like Archos makes but with updated specs. Galaxy Tabs are nice though. Have the Droid X, not really a tablet, looking to possibly get the Droid Bionic but am still open to seeing what comes out tablet wise, that isn't from Apple.

Circuit City is now run by the same folks who run Tiger Direct. I think CompUSA is also run by the Tiger Direct folks but not sure.

They are indeed.
There is a brand-new TigerDirect.com retail store (!) two exits north of me on I-85. It's pretty far out of Atlanta proper -- legally, it's in Jefferson, GA -- but it doesn't really matter since the same building also houses their callsite and Southeast regional distribution warehouse. I get the feeling retail sales there are just "gravy." I've bought a few things there and they have a repair facility, too. And yep, their adverts mention CompUSA.

(For Atlantans, this is the same exit as the we'll-be-big-again-after-rebuilding-from-the-fire Pendergrass Flea Market, so it might be worth the drive if you wanna hit up both.)

If anyone here has ended up with an extra $99 blow-out sale HP TouchPad then please send me a PM, would love to have one since the price is insanely cheap. Tried to score one online for like the whole week so far but without any luck..

Seems that currently they are available only at BestBuy brick&mortar stores where they are going real fast right after the stores get some re-stock (only way to really know if they have some is to visit a store, the online inventory tool is useless in this case). Apparently hp.com will have another wave of them coming in some time in near future still but they don't accept international orders and since there will be tens of thousands of people crashing the site immediadely after they announce it it's quite unlikely that one would be able to score a TouchPad there anyway.

Was trying to get one for a friend in Australia because they can't buy one. We'll I bought one for him, but it was canceled several days after the fact, as the stock ran out. I'm thinking HP MAY POSSIBLY get some more in stock as you stated, since many retailers can't sell it for that much, and many won't buy a dead OS at the regular or even discounted rate.. so they may send them back to HP.

Good luck with that. There are several websites out there set up to blast out the location of found units when they come available. In other words, by the time you get the email, it's probably too late. Most of the people buying them are assholes flipping them on Ebay and Craigslist. I see them posted for ~$300.
