Tankred Best Destination Apocalypse
Self Release 2006
By Ryan Starr
Here we have yet another demo from Tankred Best, Germany's resident shred machine. Tankred seems to put out multiple demos every year, and theyre all painfully long. Destination Apocalypse has 15 tracks of pure instrumental shred. And while all the songs are good, they all sound the same. Some of the songs even share the same parts. Sure, Tankred can shred, but there is more to music than that. This album lacks variety. A couple more slow songs would really break up the monotony.
Im not sure what else I can say about Destination Apocalypse. Its good, but not so good at the same time. Id definitely check out his stuff in the future though.
