We present to you “Tantal” - band from Moscow (Russia), which plays Modern Progressive Death Metal!

The band’s music combines a big part of aggressive and virtuosic Death Metal with multi-faceted melodies and progressive elements. The band’s female vocalist, Sofia Raikova, is an indisputable zest of the band. The style of her singing varies from powerful screaming and growling to a refined clear voice.

In January 2007 the musicians released a promo-cd called «Emotional distress». The work has got a lot of positive comments and reviews from different Internet resources both in Russia and in Europe (in Czech Republic, Poland, Germany).

The music of the début album “The Beginning Of The End”, recorded in 2008, is an original mixture of Progressive, Death, Thrash and Modern Metal, “spiced” with gloomy conceptual lyrics. In spite of technical skills, the material differs with its irrepressible drive and a great number of melodies. Because of this, long compositions are herd in a burst of inspiration. The super high-speed, but at the same time, expressive parts of the solo guitars are played in the best traditions of “Dream Theater” and Yngwie J.Malmsteen. And a frantic female screaming and growling singing, changed by a clear singing voice, will leave nobody indifferent.

One of the best sound control supervisors, Eugene Vinogradov (“Day-Records” studio), who has worked with loads of famous Russian bands and German legend “Crematory” was responsible for sounding of the CD.

The guests- musicians, who took part in recording of the album, are:
Andrew Smirnov (“Master”, “Everlost”) recorded the solo to a title track of the album, and also he made some keyboard arrangements.
Alexander Dronov (“Valkyrie”, “End Zone”, “The Dynasty of the Devoted”) recoded and arranged most part of the keyboard parts for the album. He appreciably enriched and modernized the band’s sounding by that.
The guitarist of the Belgian Modern-Death-Metal band “In-Quest” Douglas Verhoeven became a special guest in the CD. He recorded the solo to the song “Controlled by hate”.

The design of the CD is done at the highest levels by the famous Brazilian artist Gustavo Sazes, who worked with such giants of the metal stage as Gus G, “Firewind”, “Nightrage”, “Tribuzy” (the project with the participation of Bruce Dickinson from “Iron Maiden”), “Cryptopsy”, “SonicSyndicate”, “God Forbid”, “Almah”, “Krisiun” and many others.
The artist carried out great work and consequently an idea of each song is reflected in separate illustration in the booklet. It lets a listener plunge into the music and mood of the album more deeply.

Debut album “The Beginning Of The End” was released by Russian metal label – Mazzar Records (www.mazzar.ru; www.myspace.com/mazzarrecords). Now, the band is searching for promotion and opportunity to release the album abroad (Europe, USA etc.).

Hope for your support!

Hey Dime, Sounds awesome! Mazzar is a great label to be a part of. As I understand it, they also work with great female-fronted metal acts like Girlschool (LEGENDS! :headbang:) and Kittie.

New single from TANTAL

Russian Progressive Melodic Metal band TANTAL presented their new song!
"Nothing" - the first single from the second TANTAL album "Expectancy".
"This song is about selfishness and narcissistic result of our actions. Chasing a dream we forget about our relatives, beloved and close friends. Seeing nothing but our dream we become blind and do not notice that we lose everything that was worth for us. And no matter what the outcome of this race...in the end we face with nothing".
