PETA is against the no kill movement and euthanizes most of the animals surrendered to them. PETA euthanized 1,946 companion animals in Virginia in 2005, out of 2,138 animals surrendered to them or picked up as strays.

Yeah, I've seen the Penn and Teller Bullshit episode on it. But still, they have respectable goals. Is it so hard to imagine animals actually living without abuse and not crammed in cages their whole miserable life? And the 'free-range' cattle aren't treated that much better.

I don't support PETA by the way. I don't like their tactics but I can respect what they are trying to achieve.
