i hope they bring slayer but i know they wont
I hope he doesn't!

Megadeth definately need to headline again, and they should bring back Dream Theatre cause they were a great live band.

As far as other performers, Testament co-headlining would be fucking epic! I'd like to see King Diamond play there, but that would simply just not happen.

Oh, or possibly bring Norther here from Finland, that would be sweet.

Slayer's on Unholy Alliance Tour, of course they can't be on Gigantour 2.
King Diamond doesn't have much of a fanbase anymore.
Overkill, Anthrax, Testament I can see happening, as most of the bands with rumors about them point in the direction of an old-school thrash fest, which I could see happening.

i hope its true.

here are the rumored bands:
judas priest
anthrax
overkill
testament
death angel
venom
exodus
amen
opeth

i really think its unlikely that priest will play cause they are gonna be in the studio. i hope opeth and amen dont play at gigantour 2 but the rest of the list looks great.

I don't think Priest will either - they kinda get too big a crowd to share a stage with Mustaine. Venom I haven't heard shit from. Opeth just went through the U.S. twice in a row, and they'd likely be put on the second stage - except with the half hour set-time, that's 3 songs. I don't think they'd come on it, and if they did, it wouldn't work. Judging by the rumors, it looks like Thrash of the Titans all over again.

It would be nice if we got some news on the bands intentions for the remainder of the year. Will they tour the U.S. and maybe Europe again or hit the studio?

I'd like to see them hit the studio once and for all and then do some solid touring in the U.S. with some kick ass opening acts.

Man 'Thrax, Overkill, and Testament would be awesome for G2. Those would be the bands I would like the most. I'm not a big fan of Slayer anymore, but I wouldn't mind them and I wouldn't mind some bootlegs either.

Supposedly Arch Enemy is the first confirmed band for G2.

Yeah, i read in an interview Michael Amott said that they will be playing gigantour on the main stage. personally i think this kinda rules out the idea of a lot of those rumored bands because they can't have that many bands on the main stage and its not like anthrax and testament and overkill would be under arch enemy. arch enemy sounds ok but i really hope the rest of the lineup is better, stuff we haven't seen on a big tour or a tour in general in a while.

Overkill would probably be under Arch Enemy, though Anthrax and Testament wouldn't. Still, in case you weren't there last year, there were 3 bands on the main stage, 4 on the second stage, and 2 headliners. This year, I expect them to have more on the main stage and the second stage - so I expect Arch Enemy to take Nevermore's spot.

And I like Arch Enemy, so I'm happy. Any other "confirmed" bands?
