It is alot different from the first. Very, tongue in cheek. It is a pretty fun movie though in a sick way. Alot gorier that the first if you can get it uncut.

What made this movie enjoyable was Bill Mosley's portrayal of Chop Top...absolutely evil

I also liked the tongue and cheek humor behind it!

If it's the one with Renee Zellweger than it is #3, 'Leatherface'. I agree it is extremely bad! And yeah, bill mosely is cool. I can't wait to see House of 1000 corpses, apparently he is in that.

Actually the one with Renee is 4 or aka the Next Generation. Viggo Mortensen and Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead) was in the 3rd. That was the one with the girl who broke down, and the leatherface family had a mother.

Geez.... the first one is terrible in a great way. Sure it's got the low budget "cool factor", and has a more surrealistic horror to it, but that girl is screaming thru nearly the whole movie... Anyways, it's great as an "artsy horror flick", but not much more.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre II was the best, IMO. Had lots of humor, and was more like a real movie, with lots of fabulous one liners, "incoming mail", one I'll always remember... It was kinda campy like Evil Dead II or Return of the Living Dead.

I don't think any of the other sequels were any good.

I have to say TCM2 is AWESOME too! Great sequel I reckon! "Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3" is the biggest load of crap, it sucks balls. I'm not too interested in seeing "The Next Generation" or the stupid remake now either.

I prefer the first TCM, just because it is so effective, IMO. I do like TCM 2 though, but it is a much different film.
