I've been listening to this band for a while.. And they've just continued to grow on me more and more with each listen. Especially their 2nd album 'Drawing Circles'. Their debut is good, but their old singer was a bit annoying in my view.

Anybody else into them? Drawing Circles is, alongside Alcest's new record, my current favourite album. Those who haven't heard the band, to me they are like a more melodic and varied Meshuggah.

Well, I bought Drawing Circles... and I have to say, this is one of the worst records I've bought in a long time. Definitely a Meshuggah (I also hear some Devin Townsend) resemblance there, but not in a good way. ugh!

I've come to hear all of their albums, and indeed their first singer was somewhat annoying mainly because of the high pitched voice... if you hated that i recommend checking their later "drawing circles" and "silhouettes". Their last album is impressive and in my opinion it has this melodic/ambiental approach to prog/math/whateverucallit metal that u won't find in other similar prog stuff metal bands.

I have been following Textures since Polars - coincidently after hearing that they were like Meshuggah but with melody and some Devin Townsend Band moments thrown in. I can understand people not liking the original vocalist - a lot more one dimensional and a bit of a -core vocal thing happening.

For me, Drawing Circles is a great release, and a favourite modern metal album of mine. The album particularly has a great flow from start to finish. I know some people didn't like the more melodic vocals but I think that they are a great touch and add some variation.

Silhouettes is a good album but was a bit disappointing, not as cohesive as their 2nd album and the material didn't quite reach up to it either, but I still enjoy some of the songs immensely.
