:worship: How does that drummer in AA get his damn feet moving so fast?

I can play so so decent double bass, enuff to hold my own for the most part, but man, I can't seem to get my feet moving anywhere near that fast. Perhaps there is some kinda trick or something that I'm just not doing right, I dunno but I sure wish I had his skill.
Anyone have any ideas or advice?

I think he loosens the tension to the lowest level on his pedals and or has special pedals that u can like just tap and it hits. I think Tim Yeong from Hate Eternal has the same thing cause he plays just as fast if not faster then the AA drummer. Lol funny thing about those pedals ITS STILL HARD AS HELL lol so just practice. One drummer told me to build ur legs up so some runnin exercise stretch before u play but u'll get it eventually me i'm gettin better and better everyday so just keep tryin and breathe. oh and don't listen to that guy that says get..good he's just ignorant and bein a smart ass. Good luck man.

What my friend used to do was take his double kick pedal and put it against the wall with a piece of cardboard in front of it (so as not to damage the wall) and practice his double kick while playing video games. He got real good real fast because he was literally practicing about 18 hours a day (yeah he plays a lot of video games hahahaha), so if you can find a way to practice it without sitting in front of the drum kit, it will help because your practice time will increase

Usually I Set the spring tension as high as i can get it. when its loose it causes friction and pedal board "jump", this makes it very hard to get going fast. Fredrik uses a Yamaha flying dragon driect drive pedal. Direct drive pedals have alot better action than a belt or chains. They are also alot "lighter" in a way, but it still takes alot of work. Derek Roddy the drummer of hate eternal uses axis pedals (another direct drive pedal) and can get his double bass up to 300 bpm.

The Best thing you can do is start slow and work your way faster Gradually. if you dont start slow and work your way up more than likly all of your double bass will sound like shit..
Hope this helps you.

Wait a sec what happened to Tim Yeong it says nothin bout a new drummer for Hate Eternal on www.hateeternal.com. That can't be right because if Tim Yeong was replaced it would have said so on their site.
But damn 300 bpm shit u know ur good if u can do that and not have ur legs be extremely tired. damn. Where did i hear Hoglan's bpm? hmmmm I forgot but I think Hoglan was fater then that. I think that's the koolest thing a fat guy bein able to play drums an double bass like that fast shows u that if u practice anyone can do it. LONG LIVE GENE HOGLAN!

Actually, no I dont. I have the fp9310 double chain pedals. I have tried the direct drive ones though and will get them next time, but I'm not sure they would work for me. I once borrowed the axis pedals from The crown-Janne and I didn't like it at all.
When I play I also use a high tension, this to get a fast response from the pedal.
The fastest drummers usually play technically so they don't really need to play fysically, therefor it doesnt really matter if it's a 180 or 280 pound drummer.

Down the slopes of death is recored in 140bpm if I remember correct but it's not a 4/4 but 6/4 so I have no idea how to transform that.. it's as fast as I can play tight though brag, brag....

I can do 240bpm for like 10 seconds, then my legs tense up. I can do 120-180 for a while, though.

However, my double bass pedal is a $100 Pacific p.o.s, and I play flat-footed like jazz drummers do.

Am I good or bad?
