In the late 2000s, P.J. Hearn was fed up. His only "crime" was honesty. He had worked for a local government agency and had become aware of some "questionable activity" involving several of his co-workers. Despite many close friends and colleagues urging him to "just keep it quiet", Hearn did quite the opposite, bringing his concerns up with his supervisor.
That was how it started, and before you knew it, he was the target of retaliatory attacks from those that he once trusted. He eventually quit the position, pushed out for doing the right thing.
And now we're back to the beginning, where a "fed up" P.J. Hearn decided to get his revenge. But not with physical violence. Instead, he enlisted the help of two friends to channel his rage through music, and Leadsucker was born.
"Burn", their debut album, is due out on August 28th via Toxic Highway Recordings. True to its inspiration, it's a bleak, unrelenting attack on American ideals and politics, with confrontational lyrics that are sure to polarize listeners right down the middle. Want to know if it's right for you? Then have a listen:
C57BL/6
Gross Incompetence
Haute Culture
America Doesn't Give a Fuck About You
Additionally, the entire 30-track album is available as a pre-order in iTunes for just $7.99 which equals out to just over a quarter per track.
