Yep, stuff em in here.

Even the other OS, keyboard, etc threads could be merged into this one.. for lesser load on the server, that is.

To start it off, I'm thinking of getting a GeForce 8800 sometime soon. Although I'm still deciding on the exact model. Oh the joy it shall bring. :kickass:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000!? That is one snazzy cpu!

I want it,too bad I don't have the mobo or the money for it :(

You know...I've only ever been exposed to Windows until recently. My gf has a mac, and it fucking owns the hell out of Microsoft, I just don't think I'd be able to make that much of a shift in operating systems. I'm sure that when we move in with each other after college, it'll cause at least one fight.

8800 series are some mental gpus. forget the ultra, t'is overpriced for what you get... get one of the new gts's, a pair of the new gt's, or wait for the new gtx, unless its already out (haven't really been paying any attention to tech news)
buildin' my new rig come the new year. already got my mobo (one of those oh-so-sexy asus p5k's) and a q6600 lined up. should be awesome :kickass:

I'm receiving an 8800GT as a christmas/brithday gift. I'm also saving for a new CPU and I'm probably gonna get an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000. Once I get that shit working I'll finally be able to play Bioshock, Call of Duty 4, Crysis and whatever else is coming out soon.

if I were you I would buy a ps3 or 360. they are cheaper than a high-end pc.

A PC can be used as pretty much any past games console and a modern PC gaming machine and has access to every game ever, srsly, that's why people like PC gaming. It also features mod communities and tons of user created content as well as games that you don't often find on consoles.
