As some of you might remember, members of the German Spock's Beard community http://www.thebearded.de are currently producing a progressive rock double-CD which will be released in spring 2007 (we are aiming for a release at the beginning of June).
The album's title is The Bearded's Project: HOPE | OMID. (Omid is the Afghan word for hope.)
All the incoming money will be given to a very successful aid organization, the German Aid For Afghan Children (www.aid-for-afghan-children.de). This private organization founded, in cooperation with the population, several so called Peace-Schools in this crisis region. In December 2006, they received a renowned award for their excellent work.
One of the highlights of the album is a 41-minute epic, written and performed by several posting members of the board. There will be a contribution from a famous prog artist.
