Ok Kiddies... use this thread to talk about your favorite Bruce Dickinson solo album... I'm currently wading my way through the wonderful Skunkworks years... Oh yeah... Skunkworks was the name of the band... and the record was a self-titled effort...

It's a Rescue Day - :D A great song that should have been part of the Skunkworks record.

Armchair Hero - Another brilliant song from a record that was a bit ahead of its time... Well, technically, it wasn't on the record...

God's Not Coming Back - Great song to play while driving by a church :D

Metal fans really missed out when this record came out.

Any other favorites?

My favourite is Accident Of Birth. That album is flawless. I remember the first time I heard it, my friend had taped AOB and TCW for me cos I couldn't find them on cd (I have them now tho) and from the first time I heard Freak I was like, "Woah!!! Heavy shit!!!" It just got better and better from there!! The Road To Hell gets me so fired up!!! :headbang:

Yeeeeeh SKUNWORKS kicks ass

My vote goes to Accident Of Birth too, it was so nice to hear Bruce and Adrian together again, and of course Mr. Roy Z he's one of the best guitarist around there.

The Accident of Birth, Chemical Wedding albums just flat out rule. As does his latest solo effort. Nothing beats a great Bruce record. :D

I'll have to check into Skunkworks since I've never heard anything from that one. ;)

I agree "accident of Birth" is his best & "Chemical Wedding"is great also .They blow away Maiden's 2 efforts with Blaze Bailey.I really like "tatooed Millionaire"it's just a great rock album to rock out to!.
I sa wbruce live in '94 at the Foundations Forum in L.A. for "Balls to Picaso".I interviewed him there,I also Interviewed him again on the "Accident of Birth" tour with Geezer Butler opening.

I haven't had the pleasure of interviewing Bruce, although friends of mine have. They all tell me that dear Bruno is one of the most professional and nicest interview subjects in metal... Somehow I always knew that... (Yes, I'm smitten... SO WHAT! ;) )

Kill Devil Hill from Tyranny of Souls sounds like a song Maiden could have released in Dance of Death... in my opinion it can stand right next to Montsegur (again... my opinion...)
Rumor has it that Bruce is thinking about doing a cover album...

my vote! Bruce should cover Highway Star by Deep Purple :D

Excellent choice! ;) Smoke On The Water wouldn't be too shabby either. :headbang: I would love hear Bruce's vocals on the classic "Don't Fear the Reaper" by BOC. :hotjump:

Maybe a Ozzy song or two? *snicker* :Spin:

Bruce has done an excellent cover of a Sabbath tune "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath"... pretty close, no? I think I have a couple of files out somewhere of him singing onstage with Ronnie James ( I think he was completely pissed because he messed up the words and came up with some clever ones of his own...) I'll see if I can find the file and upload it somewhere for all to enjoy ;)

Great thread, Jackie! You're the ultimate Brucophile! :D

:Spin: **wipes drool from chin**
I would love to hear him sing Aqualung if he did a cover album.

That VOICE!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

I like songs on all of his Solo albums. I also don't like some songs on all of his solo albums. To me they are either really good or really bad. If I took about 5 songs from each album I could put together one kick ass record!

Didn't really get into Tyranny of Souls yet but trying to

Accident of Birth is probably my favorite albums and songs

Bruce did lay some vocal tracks for a cover of "Smoke on the water" with abunch of other Heavy Metal icons.I forget the name of the project but it was similar to "Hear n' Aid".

:guh: Now that's something I'd like to track down! :D

Thanks for chiming in, Danny. :)
