The Chariot - Long Live

i readily admit that i don't like listening to their cd's. however, live or in clips , i just can't seem to turn my eyes away.

was fortunate enough to see listener and the chariot at cornerstone in 09'

chariot was insane and listener was a just a fucking experience. He had some other guy with him playing acoustic and out of nowhere they brought out an old ass washing machine and started beating the fuck out of it and make some sick ass beats

I'm supporting the chariot when they come here in april next year. It's more or less going to be the best day of my life. The Chariot and Norma Jean are without a doubt my two favourite bands. /fanboy moment.

I cant wait to see them live!

listener is weird. But to me, anyone who does this kind of spoken word type thing is just ripping off MWY and looking silly in the process.

Funny you mention that... mewithoutyou didn't originally play the music that they are known for. Wasn't spoken wordish, nor did Aaron invent the idea of spoken word.

The Chariot's singer Josh Scogin, was the original Norma Jean singer, which had a wildly popular song which I'm sure everyone is familiar with, Memphis Will be Laid to Waste. Aaron Weiss did guest vocals on that track.

Could say Scogin has a bit to do with exposing that band considering they were on the same label and did a wicked amount of traveling and playing together. Who knows, you may not even know who mewithoutyou is, if it hadn't been for Scogin.

Old thread, I know, but to answer questions earlier in the thread: the album wasn't tracked live, but the music video was. (different audio than the album version) The part at the end is the entire track slowed down, notice the drums are lower in pitch too. (and the confetti in slow motion)
