The Clone Wars

So I started watching the second season of Clone Wars. 5 episodes in and I'm much more pleased than I was with the first season. More epic fights, Ahsoka is less annoying, Bane is a cool villain. Still some cringe-worthy dialogue, but not too much.

The last few episodes with the whole "zombie" theme have been quite enjoyable. As was the flame-throwing trooper.

Epica are pretty gay, but this is pretty awesome if you ask me:

i like a few songs, but thats mainly because Simone Simmons is hot, dude that plays guitar needs to have the mic taken away from him though.

EDIT: that Orchestra is pretty damn good too.

on another note reading Alliance again by Timothy Zahn, i really enjoy the Hand of Judgement story line.

but this is also putting off the Thrawn Trilogy more, which i keep putting off for some reason, if it's half as good as Alliance i will probably love it.

k so im almost done with the Thrawn trilogy, what should I read next?. I was thinking "I, Jedi" or the Jedi Academy series.

and just got caught up on the second season, im liking it so far, much better than the first, the geonosis campaign was awesome.

Have you read the Darth Bane series? I just picked up the third one, the first two were great.

Also finished the second Fate of the Jedi book last night. So far the series is pretty good, albeit slow paced and a bit repetitive. It's not one lightsaber/space battle after another like Legacy of the Force was.

yeah read Darth Bane, didn't know the new one was out though, i stopped reading for a bit, i got through the academy and Thrawn trilogy in like a month so i took a break :p

"As of June 2009, a yet untitled Star Wars animated TV series, which was revealed by George Lucas to be in the works. On April 5, 2010 it was officially revealed on StarWars.com that the series is in production by Lucasfilm Animation and that it would be a comedy.

Seth Green and Matthew Senreich of Robot Chicken are creatively involved. Brendan Hay of The Daily Show is one of the announced writers. Jennifer Hill of The Backyardigans has been signed to produce, and Todd Grimes of Back at the Barnyard to direct. The series is aimed at all ages and will feature a comedic look at the Star Wars universe.

Steve Sansweet confirmed at the Chicago convention C2E2 that the animated series will take place after Return of the Jedi and will feature the original trilogy heroes Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo. He confirmed as a answer to fan wanting to see the post-Return of the Jedi adventures. Sansweet replied that "you will in the new animation". Sansweet also replied that "not everybody in sci-fi stays dead" hinting we may see the return of the Sith including Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine and that this animated series will happen in three to four years."

UGH.

This is easily the most badass thing to ever exist:

They've even managed to top their last cinematic trailer.

Got an interesting email from a blog's mailing list:
New doc makes Star Wars fandom seem cool as a Calrissian

Here’s some important background information you probably don’t know: Back in 1977, an up-and-coming director by the name of George Lucas created a pioneering science fiction movie titled Star Wars. Perhaps you heard about it in a film history class. Well, it turns out the movie was fairly well received and apparently there are still ardent fans around today. Crazy!

Documenting that fan culture is the new film Jedi Junkies. Think of it as sort of a Trekkies for the Star Wars set, and you’ll immediately realize why we at GCD are so stoked to be able to bring you the exclusive details prior to the official announcement of the film’s release later this week.

Geeking out over its subjects’ geek outs, the documentary tags along with the coolest, craziest fans it could find. There are the New York Jedi, who teach classes in lightsaber fighting, there are the guys who made the comedy web series Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager, there’s the intergalactic thrash band AeroSith, there’s a pair of dudes building a Millennium Falcon in their backyard and, of course, there are some Slave Leias. (OK, there are lots and lots of Slave Leias.) Along the way the filmmakers also get insight from the likes of Ray “Darth Maul” Park, Peter “Chewbacca” Mayhew and Olivia “Attack of the Show” Munn.

Available for purchase or rental on iTunes, Jedi Junkies is the Star Wars fan film Star Wars fans have been waiting for. The Force is strong with this one.

Looks kind of entertaining.

Yeah I liked them a lot except for one thing that has been driving me crazy:
They are totally fucking ignoring established canon, especially with Ventress and the Dathomiri. Read the Republic comics. Makes the star wars geek in me angry.

Otherwise the last couple episodes have been pretty cool!

Its a shame that the last few episodes have been so anti-cannon, because otherwise they pretty much would have been the best of the series (maybe not as good as the episode where Ventress and Luminara fought).
