hey check out this band that i reamped guitars for that my buddy bryan goldsman produced. i actually like the music as well.

the band wanted a very roomy and "slipknot" sound as opposed to super clear and in your face they kind of wanted it mushy so i did my best it was an overcomplicated process by my own admission and there is obvious phasing but what was an error really grabbed our attention and it just kind of grew on everyone so the attitude was "fuck it, there are no rules here"

it's kind of like a unique thing and like i said we tried doing it again to get rid of the phasing but we kind of liked the "metal vortex" as it came to be known during the mixing process. anyway these guys are pretty young and i am really happy with the final product and kudos to my friend bryan for really pushing these guys because if you heard their older stuff, well, it wasn't too pretty. so anyway check it out and hey maybe you like some of the songs.

well ill be honest im not sure which album they were talking about they gave me a cd i kind of listened to it wasn't really into it but i got the point with the "roomy" sound where you feel the guitars more than you hear them. it's weird because my own tastes are more along the lines of lower output and more midrange punch to hear the pick hitting the string and hear the resonance of the body.
