Needs more Satriani.

EDIT: Just sounds like a crappy Satriani rip off, with worse production.

The song you said you like has a horrible flow... The sequences don't fit whatsoever, and there's not even any sort of joint connection... they each sound unique to themselves, but just as if he needed some filler.

well, you don't like gojira and sepultura, so you are not a good judge in music quality:P

i actually like it, and think it flows well, but i admit it sounds diverse, but not in a bad way.

i don't get how people can call gojira "good music". seriously all the riffs feel like jerky chugging, usually with some sort of high dissonant weird chord or pattern that makes no fucking sense. its like meshuggah to me, give a bunch of retards *literally* instruments and thats what will come out. a bunch of randomly placed riffs that make no sense, monotonous singing (if you can call it that), and then weird dissonant chords that add nothing but sound shitty for the sake of sounding shitty. maybe people like it for the sake of liking it because its different and want to like it even though its actually crap, whatever.

Here here.

this sounds good.not very original, but I guess it's hard to get rid of Becker/Friedman influences in shredders' world.also Atma Anur on drums is a big \m/.

thanks for gaying up the thread

explain to me why gojira is good music then.

because, they are about making music and getting the point across rather than trying to be the fastest band ever, or the shreddiest, or the lowest tunning one, are catchy, balsy and their songs always pump up people. It is a fact. at their show, a people that was pretty unaware of them went apeshit after two songs and then rushed to their merch stand. They are a breath of fresh air from today's metal clichees. They also bring back the attitude that bands like metallica and sepultura had back in the day, they really have no boundries on their music.

Christ, thought I was the only other guy on here to hate Gojira.

I like Heaviest Matter of the Universe and... That's it.

first off, that doesn't make thier music good. nothing you said in there makes their music any good. hatebreed makes music to get their point across and pumps people up, but they're pretty awful music-wise but hell even their music is better written/makes more sense than gojiras. also enlighten me as to how they have attitude, their riffs have no real feeling, it sounds like a machine and the vocals have no emotion. metallica and sepultura actually had emotion not only in the vocals, but you could hear it in the actual riffs that each had a different sort of sound and feeling and the riffs really hit you, for example, battery.
