I am stoked to have just read that The Eternal are supporting H.I.M. in Melbourne and at the Luna Park show in Sydney. I figured support would be someone shit, but this has me even more pumped for the gig now. Awesome.

Great gig! The Eternal had horrid guitar feedback for the first song, but the sound after that for both bands was fantastic. Down and Hollow Inside were awesome. I don't think the two chicks to my left were real impressed though...one was playing Tetris on her phone, and the other Pac-Man. Dipshits.
That reminds me of something I was annoyed at last night....it shits me to no end to see people making such an effort to get photos or video with their shit quality camera phones. Stop watching the show on a 1 inch LCD screen, and enjoy the band performing in front of you! Your recording/photos will end up shit anyway, so don't bother. Look at pics on their website. Buy a live album. Enjoy the fucking show! Gone are the days of holding up lighter flames, instead I looked down from the balcony to see 50 or so LCD screens. Fucking lame.
H.I.M. were far better than I expected, quite a lot of balls in the performances, not as soft as they come across in the studio. Very happy they played 5 tracks from Dark Light, as it is a killer album, and was also happy they included the cover of Wicked Game, as they do it so well. Great presence, very cool stage set. Again, great gig!
