The Faceless Vocals sound

1)set up dynamic mic

2)grunt into it a bunch

3)smash to hell with comp+limiter

Yeah, there doesn't seem to be anything special going on there. Just sing like that, record it, compress it a fuckton, and maybe some slight reverb to help it blend into the mix.

AT4060 into tube preamp w/pretty high gain is a good way to start.

Yep, you definitely want that harmonic saturation for screams, i.e. latest Black Dahlia Murder.

hey man, i fucking love the faceless so you win, for that type of vocals i use a sm7 (best mic for this genre fuck whatever anyone else tells you) rcomp, reverb, and a bit o eq.
