The Fall of the Heretic has a new album release scheduled for July 21st, 2009, entitled, "Shadows of a Black Sun".
The album has three singles, entitled, "Brutal Betrayal", which is a much more professional rerecording, "Karesse", which also is a much more professional rerecording, and "When Mine Eyes Shall Blacken", a brand new song.
The Fall of the Heretic is an experimental death metal band, which shows in these three singles, as "Brutal Betrayal" is very thrashy with some metalcore influence, whereas "Karesse" has a very large death/black metal influence. "When Mine Eyes Shall Blacken" is a bit more melodic, while still retaining the heaviness and brutality of The Fall of the Heretic's death metal influence.
