So I just found out that I'm going to be a father next year. :kickass:

So for you fathers out there, I'm a bit afraid to loose my aggressive touch with this.
Will I start to write love songs with cheesy lyrics? Do I have to cut my hair and shave? I'm a bit confused.

I probably have to quit Feared and start a pop band.

Your right. Life will be over. Money will become God. Pop bands will start to sound really good. ;)

Hahaha Well, as a new father myself (just 3 weeks now), and a person that was never "into" the whole baby thing, I can tell you there probably WILL be a change. But, you won't lose yourself...you'll just be adding more to yourself. I never thought babies were all that cute, and hated when people showed me baby pictures. Now, I'm showing pics of my son to whoever wants to see them. lol But, I still HATE love songs and all such things (with a few small exceptions). And though it's not aggressive (I love modern metal, but love 80's metal even more), I was quite pleased the other night when my fussy and frustrated little boy calmed down and got really quiet when I put on some really old Dokken videos to check out Lynch's guitars.

So don't worry dude! You're just adding something new to your life. You'll still keep cranking out that awesome tuneage of yours! :kickass: Now, finding TIME for it...that's another story. ;) :heh:

FUCK THAT!

Be yourself and raise your kid to be a little demon baby that shreds on the guitar and mixes on analog. All will be right with the world.

Hell no dude, i gotta admit i've had to put more time aside for my lad but i don't have my family over here to help out as much as they'd like...

keep it heavy, all you gotta do is drop the volume a litte when their younger... get them listenin to the good stuff while their in the womb though...

to be honest i wasn't anywhere near the father thing when i found out, i had about 3 months to get into it before he was born but i aint looked back/cut my hair/shaved my beard/started listening to cheesy pop...

i get lots of stares when i walk down the street in my cutoffs, at the gates shirt and he's got baby camos on...

sending him to nursery in a CC - Butchered at Birth shirt, gonna get one printed somewhere for him...

I'm a father of 3 girls.....been married 15 years, I'm tattooed (sleeved), I ride a Harley, I wear metal t-shirts, I watch metal DVDs, I have regular discussions with my eldest daughter over who is the best singer Dio/Bruce/Rob and still write and record metal, kids are probably the only ones in the world that wont judge you for your love of metal, don't change your life for kids mate - enjoy being a dad, its the toughest but most rewarding gig there is.
