It's still not quite done yet, but this is what i have so far.

things I still need to do: vocals, re-do the guitar solo, re-record bass guitar possibly, and change the cymbals sound from reason cymbals to superior 2.0 now that i got it.

tell me what you think. anything need to be louder or softer? eq, reverb, compression, tonality, anything i might want to change?

Edit: newer mix http://boxstr.com/files/4045207_tsk2n/The Final Countdown (unfinished)new2.mp3

haha more-metalified! I dont really like the snare but who cares.. sounds great anyway! nice solo btw..

esp eclipse with emg 81, 6505+ head, avatar cab with helatone 60 speakers, sm57 into firepod preamp.

only software processing was massey tape head on each track and t-racks eq with colin richardson's eq settings.

thanks, the snare is actually the sneap snare sample, so you can blame andy haha! well i did use a little eq and reverb myself

I enjoyed the listen. I thought it sounded good.

Would you mind sharing the midi drum maps with me?

Yeah I'm not really liking the snare either. I think it needs some more mids, and less reverb! There is SO much low-end in the reverb on it.
I think the kick could use some more mids, and lows too. To make it more 'metal' I would replace the synth in the chorus with a lead guitar.
